Fridrich method (OLL and PLL)

here is last part of my fridrich post, the orientation of last layer(OLL) and the permutation of last layer(PLL)

first, the OLL. OLL is a method were your gonna flip all the last layer so that all the last layer pieces are oriented. OLL are divided by two:

1. 2-look oll
the two look oll is were your gonna orient the last layer in 2 moves (constructing a cross and executing the OLL) and you only have to memorise 7 algorithm.

2. Full OLL
the full is were your only gonna orient the last layer in only 1 move but you have to memorise 57 oreintation

2-look OLL

after orienting the last layer, now you have to permute it.
PLL are also divided by two

1. 2-look PLL
permuting the pieces in two moves( permuting the edges first and then the corners) and only requires to memorise 7 alg

2. Full PLL
permuting the pieces in 1 moves and requires to memorise 21 alg

2-look PLL

if you want to look for all the OLL and PLL cases, here a gud website to visit

Fridrich Method (F2L)

here's the intersting part about Fridrich, First two layer or F2L for short.

unlike like the basic layer by layer method which you have to slot in the corners after building a cross and then sloting the edge of the second layer, f2l combine both by pairing an edge and a corner piece and slot it together.

let the video do the rest of the talking

part 1

part 2

How your thought process while doing f2l

let me tell you about f2l. at first, f2l is really hard because your eyes have to be sharp in finding the pairs.
there is only 1 solution to this. that is practice, practice and practice.

Enjoy!

Fridrich method (advance cross)

here is a video on advance cross building. this video will be teaching will be teaching you on building the cross in fewer moves.

its a little hard at first but just keep practicing.

Enjoy!

Teaching noobs Fridrich Methods

lately, some noobs were asking me:

"anad, boring na juak method lamak tok. x da method barukah?"
(anad, im soo bored with the old method. is there any other method?)

and

"anad, camne kau dapat solve ya under 1 min? ilmu apa endak yang di pakei ko. ajar aku lok"
(anad, how did u solve it under 1min? wat method are you using? can you teach me?)

after hearing the same question over and over again, i introduce them Fridrich (CFOP)

C-cross
F-F2L(first two layer)
O-OLL(orientation of last layer)
P-PLL(permutation of last layer)

then, i explain them about this Fridrich thingy and they were like ".............."

so, to make things easier, i decided to post some video on Fridrich methods.

Yu Nakajima broke 5sec barrier!!! (4.08sec) Part2

after observing nakajima's video for a few times(maybe around 20times), i've discovered a few things about the video.

1. nakajima is not using double flip(doing a U2 using 2 fingers)

2. he don't even inspect the cube before solving it.

3. he is not using any ordinary method like Fridrich or petrus.

4. He is a MADMAN!!! Even breaking a sub-20 barrier is hard for me but he just solve it under 5 second like its a child's toy!!!
